THE ORIGINS OF PSYCHODERMIC ANALYSIS™

MEET THE FOUNDER

From as young as I can remember, I would endlessly ponder what every person's story might be. Now, when I look at their skin, I know.

With an exclusive focus on the critical role of psychological factors in skin health and ageing, Leigh-Ann Comarmond advances the current landscape of psychotherapy as it applies to the mind–skin connection. As the founder of Psychodermic Analysis, she has pioneered a proprietary methodology that examines the psychological architecture of skin disorders, mapping how psychological patterns and stress responses contribute to their etiology and pathophysiology.

Integrating her qualifications in Psychotherapy, Psychosomatic Therapy, Cognitive Behavioural Therapy, Schema Therapy, Clinical Hypnotherapy, Psychoneuroimmunology, Beauty Therapy (Advanced Skin Analysis), Corneotherapy, and Dermal Science, she draws on nearly 30 years’ experience in the mind–body connection to formulate a detailed and comprehensive Psychodermic Analysis that provides her clients with authoritative insight into the interplay between psychological and cutaneous functioning.

Pairing her core foundations in Psychotherapy and Skin Therapy with almost three decades of professional development, mentorship, and practical application, she has significantly expanded the skin industry by introducing a distinctive area of expertise focused exclusively on the respective roles of the mind and psychological stress in dermatological processes.

In December 2013, her unique perspective on skin health led to her appointment as the mind–skin expert for Nature & Health magazine, where she contributed a bi-monthly Expert Q+A column, as well as tips and feature articles on the mind–skin connection for five consecutive years until the magazine ceased publication on 31 December 2018.

Her expertise led to further invitations to become a feature writer for the Aesthetics Practitioners Journal in 2025 and Mocha Beauty magazine in 2026.

Having forged a unique path in the field of mind management for skin health and correction, she believes that great skin belongs to those disciplined in their daily habits, but exceptional skin belongs to those also disciplined in their mind.
